About Ken
Ken is an award-winning filmmaker and founder of SpoonyVision Studios, recognized for telling powerful, human-centered stories that resonate. With a calm, collaborative approach and a sharp visual eye, he brings authenticity and impact to every project.
After earning his BA in Filmmaking and Television from Montclair State University, Ken launched SpoonyVision Studios in 2013, turning a personal passion into a full-time production company. Since then, he’s directed and produced a wide range of work, from commercials and branded content to documentary and narrative films.
Ken has shot and produced segments for New York Live on NBC, working in some of the world’s most renowned kitchens alongside culinary stars like Bobby Flay and Marcus Samuelsson. This experience reflects his versatility and ability to deliver high-quality content in fast-paced, high-profile environments.
His feature documentary Life With Layla received multiple honors, including the Impact Award at the New Jersey Recovery Film Festival and Best New Jersey Documentary at the Montclair Film Festival. Ken also worked as a camera operator on HBO’s Emmy-winning documentary Breslin and Hamill: Deadline Artists, which won the News & Documentary Emmy for Outstanding Historical Documentary.
His work has been featured by major networks and outlets including PBS, NBC, Good Morning America, and People Magazine.
While proud of these accomplishments, Ken continues to grow as a filmmaker by working internationally and exploring new cultures. From filming in cities like Amman, Jordan to collaborating across borders, he believes that diverse perspectives are key to telling stories that truly connect with audiences around the world.
